Ummm... yeah, so, life. It sucks. 8D I really haven't done anything... actually I do have a picture I need to upload, but it's a bunch of gay chibis, so it doesn't really count. :/ But yeah, not much has happened on the artistic front.

But I have been working on ridding myself of the annoyance known as depression. For those of you who know me off-line, I'm sure you'll recall my hair-pulling issue. I didn't want to discuss it online because I thought I was a freak for doing it, but it turns out that about 1-2% of Americans suffer through it too. Those of you not in the know, have some knowledge.

Trichotillomania (trik-o-til-o-MAY-ne-uh) is an irresistible urge to pull out hair from your scalp, eyebrows or other areas of your body. Hair pulling from the scalp often leaves patchy bald spots, which people with trichotillomania may go to great lengths to disguise.

Hair is often associated with beauty and vitality. That's why trichotillomania — also called hair-pulling disorder, trich or pulling — can be so emotionally painful for people with the condition.

For some people, trichotillomania may be mild and generally manageable. For others, the urge to pull hair is overwhelming. Some treatment options have helped many people reduce their pulling or stop entirely.

For the record, I only pull hair from my eyebrows and eyelashes -- but thanks to my wonderful therapist and some meds I can control that now. In fact, I haven't yanked out any hair in... oh... a month? No, not that long, but close~
